This project involved developing adaptive retrofit kits that convert standard formalwear into accessible garments for individuals with dexterity or mobility challenges. My team iterated on fastening mechanisms such as magnetic closures, hidden zippers, and modular inserts to evaluate usability, durability, and ergonomics. The work is important because it demonstrates how engineering and human-centered design can reduce everyday barriers, allowing people to dress independently and maintain dignity, confidence, and self-expression.
